Due to time constraints this week, this is the best I could get done for everyone. Santelli: Can Copyright Infringement Affect Markets?

Rick Santelli gives a short “philosophical” presentation on the governments record of “protecting” Americans by creating new legislation. Think Environmental “Protection” Agency, Consumer “Protection” Agency, etc… The reality is most everything today, government and non-government related, are marketing/sales tactics geared towards twisting the truth in favorable light to gain your approval. You put an attractive label/headline on something hoping the details are never thoroughly researched.

The Dodd-Frank Bill was supposed to “Protect” Americans from another 2008 collapse, yet most anyone who has done any homework on this matter realizes it was marketed to the masses as such, but all it does it over-regulate, not “protect” us from the reasons for the 2008 collapse. Ask anyone outside the finance industry and they will likely regurgitate the marketing of the bill, “It protects us from the 2008 collapse.” Press them as to how and they won’t have any details for you other than ,”It stops too big to fail.” That’s just how the world works today. We blindly trust someone else to get the job done right without double-checking their work because we are either legitimately busy with work and the real world or we are too busy drinking and going to clubs, simplistically speaking of course. Isn’t that part of the reason we got in this mess to begin with? Here is a recent article on why the bill does not protect against the 2008 collapse, you can find many more like this with a little more research.

Santelli takes tidbits of what I wrote above to apply it to the Anti-Piracy Bill. As a headline, most everyone can agree we don’t want piracy. Does anyone really believe the headline reflects the details of the bill and what will come of it? As I always say, Santelli is a voice of reason on mainstream television. He gives CNBC credibility all by himself, not the other way around.
