Napodano: Nile Digs In

On May 15, 2012, Nile Therapeutics (NLTX) reported financial results for the first quarter 2012. The company reported grant revenues of $195K in the quarter. Net loss for the quarter was $0.8 million or $0.02 per share. Nile exited the first quarter ended March 31, 2012 with $0.4 million in cash and equivalents. Napodano: Nile’s Cenderitide Clears Phase 1

On March 26, 2012, Dr. Hsiao D. Lieu, MD, FACC, Nile Therapeutics’ (NLTX) Vice President of Clinical Research, presented the results from the company’s phase 1 safety and pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) clinical trial with cenderitide at the 61th annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) meeting held in Chicago, IL. The poster presentation (board #628) was titled, “Initial Experience with Subcutaneous Infusion of Cenderitide in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure.” (more…)

Keeping tight position in DEJ until we get confirmation of no short-term dilution from management. As Zacks noted, cash ratio is slightly under what they need to keep financing.

Initial glance at GST earnings is bullish. Lawsuit overhang will keep a lid on how high stock can move though. Long term spec still
